Louise & Robin's Wedding
The day started with a drive down to Llangennith in South Wales. Such a beautiful day for a wedding by the sea. We headed straight down to the beach to catch Robin and his best man; Tim going for a pre wedding surf (as you do).
After a walk on the beach and catching up with some of the family we made our way up to Louise's house where the preparations were well under way. I love taking all of the little detail shots during the bridal prep. Louise had a beautiful bouquet which she had "pimped out" with silver starfish to match their beach themed wedding.
With Louise all ready and chatting with her mum and dad, I headed up the road to the pub where Robin was staying. When I got up there he was outside enjoying the sunshine and bar snacks with Tim and his friends. Everyone was very relaxed, although there was a tense moment when Tim reached for a ketchup covered chip and realised he was wearing white....better stick to mayo! Robin handed over the rings and headed to the beach front venue.
I met Robin down at Eddy's Hillend Cafe-Bar and got a few photos of him waiting calmly for Louise to arrive.
Once the ceremony had finished and we had taken the group photos, we jumped into a trailer attached to a quad bike (only in Wales) and headed down to the beach for some couple portraits.
We made our way back to the venue, listened to the great speeches made by Louise's father, Louise and Tim and had a wonderful meal. Once the tables were cleared away and the cake had been cut, it was time for their first dance as Mr & Mrs Bickerdike.
A huge thank you to Claire and Shelly for being the most fantastic photographers. They were up for any suggestions (even the quad bike!) and added their own twist to the photographs. In the meetings prior to the wedding Claire took note of every request and built this in to the day without it feeling like a treadmill of photo after photo. The images are stunning, capturing the day perfectly and everyone who has seen them agree that the portfolio is a wonderful memory of a very happy, relaxed, special day.
